Gaskell and Holt Studio create an imPaCt!

Last week we were kindly invited to attend the very first Contour Homes and Peak Valley imPaCt Awards which were held at the Imperial War Museum Manchester. After many years of working together we were more than happy to help out and create branding for the awards.

The purpose of the impact awards was to recognise Contour Homes and Peak Valley tenants that have gone the extra mile to make their communities a better place to live and commend members of staff who have provided a good service for tenants.

It was certainly a VIP event, we arrived at the fantastic venue which over looked the very impressive media city and were greeted by a couple of dubious looking OK photographers, a red carpet and a glass of bubbly… what a fantastic start to the evening!

When I discovered that the venue for the evening was the war museum I was unsure what to expect, i was surprised to find it was actually IN the museum, the location of the champagne reception was quite striking, we stood under a suspended harrier jet! The main event was situated between the different museum attractions!

The 3 course meal was fantastic and the service exceptional apart from a couple of dodgy waiters that decided to cause havoc, piling up plates, taking people’s forks and making inappropriate comments! After a couple of complaints from some very surprised guests, the ‘waiters’ turned out to be the entertainment for the night… and what fantastic entertainment it was! We were amused by rude builders, funny waiters, magicians and even a band which interacted with the diners! The entertainers were called ‘Spanner in the works’ and I would highly recommend them…

The awards were presented throughout the night between courses, with the evening hosted by Symphony Housing MD Phil Gandy who did a fantastic job providing all the info and good humour!

Overall a fantastic night and the first time one of my logos has appeared on top of a cupcake!

Gaskell and Holt Studio felt privileged to be involved in such a fantastic event with a great purpose!
